Week 1

Title: Where we left off

Date: 01/27/2019

TO DO

- We left off the point where we can have a correct result of the cars that enter to the danger zone.
- With the working code we have, we need to see what kind of changes and exceptions we need to do consider to have a better result of the side of the car.
- The first thing to do is the make the side camera code have a perfect result.
-for example if in right hand lane and we can determine bushes, trees, curbs, etc
    -weather
-etc.. review with Bill to see his priorities and recommendations
- To do so, we need to have another camera record from a truck and improve the results.
- Then later, we are going to write new algorithms that will let us track the cars that are in front of and on the back of the truck.
- We know we have to also handle a camera pointing forward -- Bill
- Set up meeting with Bill
- do documentation of the code for code "coder guide" on how the code works.

Week 2

Title: Meetings

Date: 02/03/2019

Meeting with Merwyn Jones

 - We had a meeting with Professor Jones about where we had left off, and what needs to be done this week.
- I could not find the code with the zones when we were having meeting(probably because I have changed the computer.)
- I found the working code (with the zones) and I will show it to professor Jones this week.

Meeting with William Howe

- Bill talked with me and Oguzhan and assigned us different duties. (You can reach to Oguzhan's duty in his wiki)
- He assigned me to keep on working on this algorithm and make sure that this algorithm works fine in live time camera first.
- He gave us two different cameras to install to our computers to make sure they are working as needed, then try to run the code using those live time cameras.
- He said that he is trying to spare us time from work that he can let us get a record from the trucks but because of the weather conditions, it may be dangerous, he added.
- I mentioned that it may be beneficial for us to take camera records in the snowy weather to make sure it works in this weather condition too, or we need to wait another year to test if the code works in this weather condition.
- I will meet up with former grad student, Swapnil, to take over the companies laptop to install the cameras on. They will also provide converter for our computers to be able to apply those cameras.
- We will also have another grad student this term to come work with us. (And maybe Ezgi too.)
