Week 1

Date: 2/22/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We got our CPT Approvals
- We understood that we have to take action for AOP.
- Our first meeting took place with Merwyn.


Problems: 

- No problems this week.

To-Do: 

- Conduct meeting with Valuag and Action for Older People.


Week 2

Date: 3/1/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- Conducted meeting with Valuag and Action for Older People.
- Created 4 EC2 Instances, 2 for ValuAg and 2 for AOP, they installed wordpress to each.
- Created 2 S3 buckets for each projects, code and media.
- Instantiated RDS.
- Connected EC2's, S3's and RDS's.
- Tested synchronization.

Problems: 

- No problems this week.

To-Do: 

- Continue working on websites.
- Include brand related material.
- Conduct meeting with Jim.

Week 3

Date: 3/8/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We added all the products that Jim provided to ValuAg website.
- We included every information on the document for AOP. Our AOP web site layout is ready.
- We figured out the problem in Prod - Dev system.
- We prepared a PowerPoint presentation to explain our problems for the meeting.

Problems: 

- We had difficult time while trying to create Dev - Prod environment because of the Database.
- Since all the data is sent to databases it is impossible to create the Prod - Dev system with Wordpress.

To-Do: 

- According to the response from Jim we will figure out which option we are going to do.
- According to feedbacks for AOP website we can change our design.

Week 4

Date: 3/15/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We deleted unnecessary ec2 instance. It cause some problems in current ec2 instance because of common points of the ec2 instances. 
- We created new ec2 instance and deleted AOP related information.
- We created bigger logo
- We mockup a calendar and donate  ($ amount at the cart) page.
- We changed staff members

Problems: 

- There was a problem in our previous instance because of common database usage with deleted ec2 instance. We figured out and created new one
- We tried to change page links with buttons but our theme did not allow us to change them

To-Do: 

- According to the response from Jim and AgeOn office we will make updates in our website.


Week 5

Date: 3/22/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- From wordpresses admin pannel we enter css code of the theme that we are using and did multiple changes to make the AgeOn site much better.
- We changed the Logo size. Also resized the fonts of our pages to come up with a consistent look.
- We made the nav bar buttons seem clickable to add more ease for users.
- We made some changes on Related links and Board of Directors pages.

Problems: 

- Unfortunately Jim could not attend the meeting and also Lisa so we did not know what we need to change more about the site.

To-Do: 

- We will have a meeting with Merwyn and Jim and we will talk about future needs for AgeOn website. Merwyn will inform us about Lisa's needs for the website.

Week 6

Date: 3/29/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- Changed all caps in board of directors page.
- "Now onwards" label changed to "Calendar" in the event listing page.
- Donation options updated:
  - Labels changed to "Online Donation" and "Donation by Mail"
  - Donation confirmation and fail pages added.
  - Updating the status of pending donations are tested.
- Board of directors page is now under About Us page.
- Minor changes on the theme's overall look.

Problems: 

- Email sender service does not work.
- We encountered some minor problems but we overcame them.

To-Do: 

- Conduct meeting with Jim and Lisa.
- Configure email service.
- Configure payment methods (Paypal).

Week 7

Date: 4/5/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- Comments section of ValuAg site is deleted.
- Instead of having main page in recent posts we created a new page for main page and deleted recent posts.
- Navigation bar updated "Shop" moved to front. Deleted unnecessary pages now its simple and easier to use.
- There is a login system now for different users.
- We created a new item for pack sale. For now its only for Basil now "12 Basil Pack"
- Offline payment is set now we can manage costumers purchase status in Admin Panel like "Order Recived, "Order Complete", "Pending".

Problems: 

- When the payment is received we are not sending a mail.
- There are theme problems that we are having in ValuAg and we are working on new options.

To-Do: 

- Conduct meeting with Jim and Lisa.
- Ask about email configuration.
- Further changes on package sales for produces.
- Further work on Sign Up and Login System.

Week 8

Date: 4/12/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- Elastic IP set for domain name for both ValuAg and AgeOn.
- Board of Directors is now set according to the file Lisa sent us.
- Icon set for AgeOn, just a visual touch.
- Now, we are using a great theme for our ValuAg website. We think Jim will love it.
- There were a lot of problems that took time for us to progress this week. We overcame most of these issues.
- AgeOn domain name is set now, but currently there is an error right now: http://ageonbroome.org/

Problems: 

- A big, old problem occured again. When we tried to apply the domain name, we had to set an elastic IP first. But once we did that, the image resources were using the old IP address, which now does not exist, so they were missing. We somehow were able to fix this issue. This issue is now tackled. Star-player was Hamza for this, so thanks to Hamza for overcoming this big issue for us.
- A lot of confusions between databases and IP addresses between AgeOn and ValuAg. They took time.
- We had to use some database scripts to solve these problems, which were not easy.
- Domain name for AgeOn was problematic when we tried to access after setting it.
- E-mail service should be implemented after we set the domain name.

To-Do: 

- Domain name should be set.
- Items with 12 packages should be included in ValuAg website.
- Set a meeting, as always.
- PayPal account should be implemented for donation, but we are still waiting for Lisa's response for that.
- E-mail service should be discussed.

Week 9

Date: 4/19/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We put the "Home" button to the beginning for ValuAg.
- Changed "package" to "case" for ValuAg.
- Edited the contents of products for ValuAg.
- Changed "Cash on Delivery" to "Invoice"
- Changed "Broome County" to "North East USA" for homepage on ValuAg.
- A problem with domain name broke the donation system. It is fixed.
- AgeOn Board of Directors edited and prioritized the President status on top.
- Events added to AgeOn.
- E-mail service researched a little bit.

Problems: 

- Domain name for AgeOn caused some problems this week. We couldn't update the editings, do donations, show previews etc. This is fixed.
- Hamza's bad jokes

To-Do: 

- PayPal details for Donation on AgeOn website
- E-mail service should be implemented.

Week 10

Date: 4/26/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We took videos for AgeOn website to explain the Wordpress system how to add pages, edit pages, plugins and etc.
- We added Copyright on image of the AgeOn website.
- PayPal integration done for AgeOn website.
- ValuAg home page scale is changed now no need to scroll to page.
- More products added to ValuAg website also barcode of all the products are double checked and changed to make sure that every item has its own barcode.

Problems:

- No problems occurred this week

To-Do: 

- Meeting with Jim, Lisa and Merwyn for further improvements in AgeOn and ValuAg.

Week 11

Date: 5/3/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- We did a video for Jim about how to handle orders.
- Jim wanted to be able to batch upload multiple users to our website and now with the plugin we found we can upload new users from csv files easily. 
- We talked with Lisa about the videos

Problems:

- Lisa couldn't watch the videos and gave feed back so that we can re do the videos for her.

To-Do: 

- Meeting with Jim and Merwyn for future updates.

Week 12

Date: 5/9/2021

Attandence: Hamza Sahin, Aral Yucel, Kerem Atasoy, Birkan Ak

Accomplishments: 

- Jim wanted us to record a video for how to handle batch uploading users to our system and we did a video about that.
- We double checked both websites about any anomalies and everything was looking set.

Problems:

- No Problems this week

To-Do: 

- We are looking forward to see Merwyn and Jim to talk about the things that we can do for last week.
