Revision as of 01:28, 20 April 2020
Week 1
Title: Company Meeting
Date: 01/30/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, Merwyn Jones, William Howe
Accomplishments
- Arranged the weekly meetings on Thursdays, 3 pm. - The project introduced to Piril. - The project will be about eye movements according to text movements on the screen. - Existing eye tracking code from the ROME project is decided to use.
Problems
- No problem occured at this meeting.
TODO
-A research needs to be done about the reasons of eye movements according to the brain neurons. -Eye tracking code needs to be updated. -A text movement code needs to be written.
Week 2
Title: Company Meeting
Date: 02/06/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, William Howe
Accomplishments
- Some diseased are researched that our program could help to. - Two specific diseased has been found. TBD and Contrast Sensitivity. - We will develop a specific program for Contrast Sensitivity disease.
Problems
- No problem occured at this meeting.
TODO
-A research paper is going to sent to William and Prof.Jones about contrast sensitivity, until upcoming Thursday. -After that paper, we will decide about what the program will able to do.
Week 3
Title: Personal Research
Date: 02/13/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari
Accomplishments
- Extra research has been done about contrast sensitivity. - Technologies that are going to be used for the project are determined. - Piril has started to update the eye recognition code for this project. - Some openCV libraries has been found to change the contrast of a page.
Problems
- No problem occured at this meeting.
TODO
-A research paper is going to sent to William Howe and Prof.Jones. -We will decide about what the program will able to do at the company meeting upcoming Thursday. -We will make the final decision about the software development.
Week 4
Title: Company Meeting
Date: 02/20/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, William Howe, Merwyn Jones
Accomplishments
- Research paper about contrast sensitivity has been sent to William Howe & Merwyn Jones. - Eye recognition code has started to updated for the text movement. - We have been talked about how to do the contrast sensitivity project. - We decided that our populace for the contrast sensitivity project could be the children who just started to school and just started to learn learn how to read and write.
Problems
- No problem occured at this meeting.
TODO
-Eye recognition code for the text movement project is going to be done. -A python program is going to be written which will show the frequency modulation in a box. -The frequency modulation will start from 0% and goes through the 100%, which means starting with a blank white page and going through a whole black page. -The patience will click a button when he/she starts to cannot recognize black & whites. -After going through all black, the animation will go backwards which is from all black through a blank white page. -The patience will click a button when he/she starts to recognize black & whites again. -We will store this data in an output file.
Week 5
Title: Meeting with Merwyn Jones
Date: 02/27/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, Merwyn Jones
Accomplishments
- I have started to work on the python code piece that I explained last weeks wiki, it is about to be finished. - We have met with Merwyn Jones and talked about what I have done so far.
Problems
- No problem occured at this meeting.
TODO
-Eye recognition code for the text movement project is going to be done. -The python program which shows the frequency modulation in a box is going to be finished. -Since this Thursday is winter break, the meeting which is planned for this week is going to be delayed.
Week 6
Title: Individual Work
Date: 03/05/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari
Accomplishments
- I continued to work on the python code.
Problems
- The program needs to send the output when user clicks to a button. That part does not work. - Frequency frame can not be reduces. But it needs to be reduced to prevent any cheating.
TODO
-The problems for the python program are going to be solved. -A paper about the program and how it worked going to be written , because the idea is fresh new and I thought that documenting it would be needed.
Week 7
Title: Individual Work
Date: 03/12/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari
Accomplishments
- I continued to work on the python code. - I worked on a Matlab code for frequency signwave. - The meeting is rescheduled for next week due to current problems.
Problems
- The program needs to send the output when user clicks to a button. That part does not work. - Python might not be the best environment for this project.
TODO
-The problems for the python program are going to be solved. - The best environment will be decided.
Week 8
Title: Remote Company Meeting (Zoom)
Date: 03/19/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, Merwyn Jones, William Howe
Accomplishments
- A python program for creating sine wave function with desired frequency is developed. - We decided to keep the frequency in between 1 and 200 in the sine wave function to get a useable graph animation. - From now on, we will have a zoom meeting on Thursdays at 3 pm.
Problems
- No problem occurred this week.
TODO
- For loop for plot functions will be researched and added to the program. - The function will be converted into an animation graph with that for loop. - That for loop will go both in ascending and descending order. - Time function will be added to the program to keep track of time. - User interaction will be added to the program after making the animation (the user will click on a button).
Week 9
Title: Remote Company Meeting (Zoom)
Date: 03/26/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, Merwyn Jones, William Howe
Accomplishments
- The for loop for the plot functions has been tested - For loop does not make the program work like an animation, it just keeps outputting different graphs.
Problems
- No problem occurred this week.
TODO
- A "delete"command will be tried to be added at the end of the for loop to make the graphs seen like an animation. - That for loop will go both in ascending and descending order (2 different for loops will make that). - Time function will be added to the program to keep track of time. - User interaction will be added to the program after making the animation (the user will click on a button).
Week 10
Title: Remote Company Meeting (Zoom)
Date: 04/19/2020
Attendance: Piril Okurogullari, Merwyn Jones, William Howe
Accomplishments
- Prof.Jones solved the problem at the for loops. Now our for loops are working well. - Time function is added to the program to see the times the user clicks. - User output file (will save the time frame when user clicks) added to the program.
Problems
- No problem occurred this week.
TODO
- The animation will be narrowed to the desired size for user not to track the sine waves. - User interaction will be added to the program after making the animation (the user will click on a button).
