LaTeX class for IEEE Computer Society conferences

  • The Problem
    • Several conferences require manuscripts to be authored according to certain certain standards. A set of formatting instructions for LaTeX are provided, unfortunately, the sample document doesn't match the formatting instructions in PDF.

Specifically, unless certain options are enabled, section headers will use roman numbers instead of arabic numbers, the abstract will be bold instead of italicized, and the title font will be incorrect.

Additionally, unless the IEEEtran.cls is modified, certain text margins will be incorrect.

  • What's Provided Here
    • A modified IEEEtran.cls class and a sample LaTeX document that demonstrates proper use for IEEE Computer Society conference manuscripts.

Also available is the differences between IEEEtranMRH.cls and the IEEE provided IEEEtran.cls (not necessarily same as the version provided in CTAN).
